Special Creation Care Initiatives
The EcoFaith Network of the NEMN Synod/ELCA is partnering with the Minneapolis Area ELCA Synod’s EcoFaith Network to promote special themed initiatives around water and energy conservation. Toolkits are available to help congregations connect more deeply with understanding the importance of conserving vital life-giving natural resources upon which we all depend. These resources include worship resources, theological references, education materials for adults and youth, and ideas for congregational activities, discipleship at home and community advocacy.
Northeastern Minnesota Synod Watershed Initiative
The geography of the Northeastern Minnesota Synod contains some of Minnesota’s most pristine waters. It falls within all or part of 25 major watersheds of Minnesota. We all live in a watershed and it’s our stewardship responsibility to help keep these waters clean for current use and enjoyment and
that of future generations.

Faith and Clean Energy Initiative
Minnesota is transitioning to a clean-energy economy. Already 21 percent of energy produced in Minnesota comes from renewable energy sources, but bolder actions and higher renewable energy standards are needed to ensure that Minnesotans have future access to affordable, renewable energy they need and deserve.
