Our Thank You's
Please see the attachment below to view the Thank You's and testimonies of our India brothers and sister.
On behalf of SALC students who are doing their theological education both at Gurukul and ACTC, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for acting as sponsors for our students. With your support, three students have been graduated last year and posted indifferent parishes to serve the Lord and the Lord’s community. Thank you very much for standing on behalf of our students to raise funds to support them.
As you know most of the students who are doing the studies are from the lower middle class economic background. Most of them are either from the poor agricultural background or rural pastors’ families. In any case, it is highly difficult to pursue theological studies as it is very expensive in India and elsewhere. Moreover, either the church or the banks are not providing loans for this particular study. So we again come to you for your kind supporting hand towards our children. I am sure God will use them mightily in the days to come.
We are sending the reports for 12 students who received scholarship both from ELCA and NE Minnesota Synod, ELCA. We are attaching two new students’ details: Mr T Chandra Sekhar and Mr K Chatarji. I would request you on behalf of these students to kindly consider them for scholarship as I already mentioned, theological studies are expensive and our students are in need of financial support to complete their education. Especially these two students come from extremely poor background. Therefore I request you on behalf of them to kindly consider them for scholarship.
Bishop joins me in thanking you for your immeasurable support, prayers and concern towards SALC students who are doing theology. He also joins me in making a special request to consider all 14 students for scholarship this year also. The church remembers the companion synod and all those who visited SALC in their prayers. We are thankful to God for your labor in the ministry of raising funds to support the South Andhra Lutheran Church in whatever the way possible. I once again thank you on behalf of our students and pray that your service would yield good fruits in the expansion of the Kingdom of God.
